Outside Inventory
Brilliant is not a third-party logistics provider and does not routinely accept merchandise procured outside of Brilliant ("Outside Inventory" or "Outside Merchandise").
However, in limited circumstances and subject to Brilliant’s prior written approval, Brilliant may agree to intake, store, and/or fulfill Outside Inventory for our clients.
Advance Approval Required
Advance approval of Outside Inventory is always required. Reach out to your Account Manager to kick off the request process.
Approval is discretionary and evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
This ensures that our team has a chance to:
Review your request
Determine if the Outside Inventory is suitable for our facilities and handling requirements
Provide advance notice to you of any intake fees and fulfillment fees that will apply to your items
Provide advance notice to you of timing
Collect all necessary information to ensure timeline intake
Provide you the appropriate mailing address and labeling details to ensure timely intake
Outside Merchandise shipped to Brilliant without approval or without following the established process may be shipped back to you without further notice, and shipping and handling costs invoiced to you.
Documentation Requirements
Upon approval, our team will request documentation in advance of receiving your inventory. This is to ensure your merchandise is added to inventory in a timely and accurate manner.
Requested materials include:
Completed Outside Inventory spreadsheet
Product name, source, quantity, cost per unit
Photos or art proofs of each product
Proof of purchase / receipts
Failure to provide complete and accurate documentation may result in lengthy delays.
Restricted Items
Brilliant does not accept any items that are prohibited, hazardous, illegal, unsafe, or otherwise unsuitable for Brilliant’s facilities, licensing or carrier networks.
Specific restrictions include: alcohol, perishables, anything temperature-sensitive, and most packing materials (boxes, crinkle paper, or tissue paper)
Limitation of Liability
Damage or Defects. Brilliant is not liable for any damaged, defective, or nonconforming goods received from Client or Client’s vendors. Client acknowledges that Brilliant's intake procedure includes counting and organizing products. A full QA check of each item is available upon request for an additional fee.
Ownership and Risk. Ownership and risk of loss for all Client Inventory remains with Client at all times. Brilliant assumes no title to Client Inventory. Client is responsible for maintaining insurance coverage for merchandise during transit and while stored at Brilliant facilities.
