Artwork Requirements

Edited

File Types & Quality

What to Submit:

  • Vector files (AI, EPS, PDF) – these are ideal for printing. Please send these first and as early as possible.

How to tell if it’s a vector:

  • File types: .ai, .pdf, .eps, .svg.

  • Zoom in infinitely without it becoming blurry.

  • Text and shapes stay sharp and crisp.

  • Usually created in programs like Adobe Illustrator.

If you don’t have vector files:

  • High-resolution PNG or JPG (300 DPI at final print size) may work, but only if the decoration method allows it.

  • If sending from another software program, such as Canva, the files sent must still match these requirements.

What NOT to send:

  • Low-resolution images.

  • Screenshots.

  • Files embedded in Word, PowerPoint, or Google Slides.

Font Files

What to Submit:

To avoid missing text or incorrect printing.

  • Send font files.

    • What to Submit:

      • .otf or .ttf files for printing projects.

      • .woff and .woff2 files for digital projects.

  • Convert all text to outlines (shapes) in the art files.

Images

What to Submit:

  • Embed all images in the art files you send.

  • Send image files separately.

    • What to Submit:

      • High-res 300dpi image files.

Color Swatch Requirements

What to Submit:

  • Print (Pantone/Spot/CMYK): Created for printing using ink; colors may appear less vibrant than on screens.

  • Digital (HEX/RGB): Created on screens using light; colors appear brighter and more vibrant than print colors.

Artwork Dimensions

What to Submit:

  • Modifying or resizing a design may impact the clarity of images and text, as well as the overall layout. To maintain quality and composition, artwork cannot always be stretched or squeezed to fit varying dimensions.

    • Example: A square design cannot simply be resized to fit a rectangle, like a booklet or banner, without potentially distorting the design or cutting off important elements.
