Brilliant x Zapier Overview

Think of Zapier as a connector between one app and another. 

In this case, you’ll be connecting Brilliant with another app your company uses. Most commonly, companies will use core apps for CRM, Marketing, HR, and more. Using Zapier allows Brilliant and your core app to communicate, thus allowing your core app to remain the single source of truth for its subject matter (Sales, Marketing, HR) and Brilliant to remain the single source of truth for its subject matter (Gifting).

Zapier relies on two concepts, Triggers and Actions. A Trigger in one app causes an Action in another app to happen. Here are some examples using Salesforce:

  • Salesforce Trigger to Brilliant Action: a lead converts to a contact in Salesforce (trigger), so a gift is sent via Brilliant (action)

  • Brilliant Trigger to Salesforce Action: a gift sent via Brilliant gets delivered (trigger), so a Salesforce lead and campaign get updated (action)

  • Marketo: Send a gift when a lead subscribes to an email list

  • Salesforce: Send a gift when an opportunity converts or when a lead is added to a campaign

  • BambooHR: Send a gift to a new employee, or on an employee's work anniversary
