In Hands Dates Best Practices

Want a gift to arrive to a sales prospect just before you have an in person meeting with them? Need to get items to an off site event by a certain date? All Storefronts have the ability to enable our In Hands Dates feature.

If you have this feature enabled, users will see a Deliver by date selection box at checkout. This allows them to select a day they would like to have the shipment arrive ON OR BEFORE. Shipments may arrive up to three business days before the Deliver by date.

We cannot guarantee a specific date that a shipment will arrive as times vary by carrier and we cannot control unforeseen delays and issues.

With our In Hands Date functionality you can select an In Hands Date well into the future, and our system will reserve inventory and will not pack and ship the order until closer to date it is required.

For orders, particularly event orders, that must arrive within a narrower time frame than those 3 business days, we recommend either of the below options:

  • Ship to a different location that can accept earlier deliveries (e.g. a hotel where your team is staying rather than the venue/convention center itself, or a nearby UPS or FedEx location).
  • Place your order the morning (before 8:00am ET) of the business day before you'd like the shipment to arrive, with the requested in-hand date. This will utilize overnight shipping for the best chance of timely arrival.

Inventory will be deducted from your Storefront as soon as the order is placed, ensuring that inventory is on hold for your event.
